Jodie

Pre-School Leader

My time at Turvey Pre-school began as a parent 11 years ago, with my 3 children coming through the doors.

My career in Early Years began at Turvey Pre-school in 2016 when I was a newly qualified Level 2 Practitioner.

Since then, I continued with my personal development and am now a qualified Level 4 Advanced Early Years Practitioner and one of the two Designated Safeguarding Persons at the pre-school.

As Leader of Turvey Pre-school, I want to ensure that our Passion and ethos in creating the best environment possible for our unique children to develop, flourish, be happy and confident will radiate through.

I love working with the children within our setting, my true passion is to ensure that by the time they move on, that our children are happy, confident, resilient individual’s ready to fully embrace their next chapter.

Rachel

Deputy Leader

Hi, I am Rachel and I am the Deputy Leader and Special Educational Needs and Disability Co-ordinator (SENDco).  I am the Speech and Language Co-ordinator for the preschool and also one of the two Designated Safeguarding Persons.  I am NNEB Qualified.

I have worked at Turvey pre-school since April 2005 and I have 2 grown up daughters who both attended the pre-school.

I enjoy messy play, physical play outside and stories in the book corner.

Fiona

Hi, I’m Fiona, I have worked at Turvey Pre-school since 2007 and I am a qualified Level 3 practitioner.

I am Supervisor within Pre-school and also the 2 year old co-ordinator where I ensure our littlest ones receive the best care. I am responsible for completing the ‘Lift off to Language’ program with the 2 year olds.

I have completed a qualification within Jabadao. Which explores children’s physical development. Leading to a child feeling good in their bodies, growing in confidence, abilities to self-regulate and being social, therefore being ready for everything that life offers. Which I am passionate about!

I also enjoy messy play, the outdoors and story time.

Staff Maria

Maria

Hi, my name is Maria, I have worked at Turvey Pre-School since January 2002. I have three grown up children and two young grandchildren, my youngest child came through pre-school.

My favourite activities are reading stories to the children and singing nursery rhymes with them. I especially like “We’re going on a Bear Hunt” and “The Tiger Who Came To Tea”.

I have a Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice done through the PSLA before coming to Turvey.

I love my job and it’s a joy and real privilege to see the children we teach and care for blossom and grow in confidence by the time they’re ready to leave us.

Natalie

Hi, I am Natalie.  I am a Level 2 Practitioner, and I am currently studying towards Level 3 Early Years Educator.

I came into the world of Early Years just over 2 years ago and discovered I had found a passion for working with children.  I love all crafting activities, including messy play!

I am looking forward to being part of the team here at Turvey Preschool, aiding children on their learning journey.

Anna

I joined Turvey Preschool in 2019 to support the team in the finance and admin tasks.  Having 3 of my own children come through Tuvery Pre-school over the years, and seeing how much they loved their time here,   I was excited to come and join the team and see things from the other side.

It is a lovely place to work.

Nicky

I joined Turvey Preschool in 2022 and support the team as a bank member of staff, supporting busy sessions as needed.

I am in my element during all the crafty activities and am not afraid to get out the glitter!
